Job Description

Adideva College of Education, approved by Bundelkhand University, Uttar Pradesh, invites applications for the position of Librarian. The institution is seeking a responsible and organized professional who can efficiently manage library operations, support academic activities, and provide quality services to students and faculty members.

1. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science (M.Lib / M.Lib.I.Sc.) with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university.
• Candidates should have good knowledge of library management systems, digital resources, cataloguing, classification, and record maintenance.
• Candidates with relevant experience in managing educational institution libraries will be preferred.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily library operations.
• Maintain books, journals, digital resources, and library records.
• Perform cataloguing, classification, and documentation of library materials.
• Assist students and faculty members in accessing library resources.
• Maintain issue/return records and ensure proper book management.
• Manage library databases and digital library resources.
• Support academic and research activities of students and faculty.
• Ensure a peaceful and disciplined learning environment in the library.
• Coordinate with departments for procurement of new books and resources.

3. Selection Process

Selection will be based on academic qualifications, relevant experience, library management skills, and performance in the interview conducted by the institution.
